3. Aims and Objectives of the Journal

The aim of the journal is to disseminate up-to-date knowledge and clinical experience related to improving the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of dental diseases in order to enhance the scientific and professional competence of specialists.

4. Open Access Policy

The journal DentistKazakhstan adheres to the principles of full open access in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

All articles are published in open access and are available to readers immediately after publication without subscription or access restrictions.

Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, and use the journal’s materials provided that proper attribution of the author and source of publication is given.

5. Licensing Policy

All articles published in the scientific and practical journal DentistKazakhstan are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This license permits users to freely read, download, copy, distribute, cite, and adapt the journal’s materials in any format, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author and the source of publication.

Authors retain the copyright to their works and grant the journal the right of first publication.

6. Peer Review Process

The journal applies a double-blind peer review process:

  • Independent expert reviewers

  • Confidentiality of the review process

  • Anonymous reviewer reports provided to authors

  • Review period: up to 8 weeks

7. Originality and Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using the Antiplagiat system.

  • Acceptable similarity threshold: up to 20%

  • Required text originality: at least 80%

8. ORCID and Author Affiliation

Authors are required to provide:

  • ORCID identifier

  • Accurate institutional affiliation

  • Author contributions (CRediT taxonomy)

  • Sources of funding

The provided information may be verified through CrossRef, ORCID, and other relevant systems.

9. Publication Ethics

The journal follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Declaration of Helsinki, the ARRIVE guidelines, and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

  • Informed consent must be obtained where applicable

  • Ethical approval must be provided for relevant studies

  • Sources of funding and conflicts of interest must be disclosed

10. Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any competing interests and to complete the ICMJE Disclosure Form where applicable.

11. Preprint and Postprint Policy

The journal allows the deposition of preprints (e.g., medRxiv, OSF).

Postprints may be shared provided that a link to the journal’s official publication is included.

12. Complaints and Appeals

Complaints and appeals are handled in accordance with COPE guidelines.

The review period for complaints is up to 30 working days.
