All manuscripts submitted to the editorial office of the journal Dentist Kazakhstan<\/strong> are subject to mandatory peer review in order to ensure the scientific quality of publications and their compliance with the thematic scope of the journal, which covers dentistry, maxillofacial surgery, dental implantology, orthodontics, therapeutic and prosthetic dentistry, preventive dentistry, as well as related medical and biomedical sciences.<\/p>\n

Principles of Peer Review<\/strong><\/p>\n

Initial screening. <\/strong>Within three working days, the scientific editor or scientific consultant evaluates the submitted manuscript to ensure its compliance with the journal\u2019s scope and the established formatting and submission requirements.<\/p>\n

Expert peer review. <\/strong>The manuscript is forwarded to independent specialists in dentistry, maxillofacial surgery, and related medical disciplines for scientific evaluation. The peer review process is conducted on a voluntary basis and follows the principles of confidentiality and impartiality.<\/p>\n

Editorial board consideration. <\/strong>Based on the results of the peer review, the editorial board decides whether to accept the manuscript for publication, request revisions, or reject the submission. If necessary, additional expert opinions may be requested.<\/p>\n

Final approval. <\/strong>After technical and editorial preparation, the issue is approved by the Editor-in-Chief (or by the deputy editors or scientific consultant). Prior to publication, authors are given the opportunity to review the galley proofs of their article.<\/p>\n

Notification of Authors<\/h3>\n

Acceptance.<\/strong>
The manuscript is placed in the publication queue. Authors may request approximate information regarding the expected publication date.<\/p>\n

Revision required.<\/strong>
The manuscript is returned to the authors for revision or for providing a reasoned response to the reviewers\u2019 comments. After revision, the manuscript is resubmitted for peer review.<\/p>\n

Rejection.<\/strong>
Authors receive the reviewer\u2019s comments together with an official notification of rejection.<\/p>\n

Manuscripts that do not comply with the submission or formatting requirements will not be considered for publication. Resubmitted materials are processed as new submissions.<\/p>\n

Accept<\/em> the manuscript without revisions.<\/p>\n

Minor Revision<\/em> \u2013 acceptance is possible after small corrections.<\/p>\n

Major Revision<\/em> \u2013 manuscript requires substantial improvements before reconsideration.<\/p>\n

Reject<\/em> \u2013 manuscript does not meet the journal\u2019s standards.<\/p>\n

Suggestions for Improvement<\/strong>: Reviewers are encouraged to provide constructive feedback to help authors strengthen their work.<\/p>\n

Request for Additional Data<\/strong>: Where necessary, reviewers may request clarifications, supplementary analyses, or additional methodological details.<\/p>\n

Ethical Concerns<\/strong>: If potential ethical issues (e.g., plagiarism, data manipulation) are identified, reviewers are obliged to notify the Editorial Board.<\/p>\n

Editorial Decision<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Editorial Board<\/strong> makes the final decision based on the reviewers\u2019 reports. Possible outcomes include:<\/p>\n

Acceptance of the manuscript.<\/p>\n

Rejection of the manuscript.<\/p>\n

Invitation to revise and resubmit, with a clear indication of required modifications.<\/p>\n

The peer review process is designed to maintain the integrity of scholarly communication, promote transparency, and ensure that only high-quality research is published.<\/p>\n
