Modern restoration methods must ensure durability, functional effectiveness, and aesthetic appeal. Therefore, a comparative clinical evaluation of various approaches to restoring primary teeth is of significant scientific and practical interest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The aim of the study<\/strong> was to conduct a comparative clinical evaluation of the effectiveness of crowns and direct composite restorations in the restoration of primary teeth in children aged 2.5\u20136 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Study materials and methods<\/strong>. The study included 98 children divided into three groups: the study group\u2014tooth restoration with zirconium crowns; the control group\u2014using NuSmile metal crowns; and the comparison group\u2014restorations with Filtek Z250 composite material. Evaluation of clinical outcomes was carried out at periods of 1, 3, 6 and 12 months according to the criteria of preservation of restorations, condition of surrounding tissues, hygienic indicators and aesthetic satisfaction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Results and discussion<\/strong>. According to the observations, zirconium crowns demonstrated the best performance across all key parameters: high strength and durability, minimal signs of peripheral tissue inflammation, good hygienic properties, and a high level of aesthetic perception by patients and their parents. Metal crowns demonstrated satisfactory functional results but were inferior in aesthetics.
